The designer, using building information modeling (BIM) technology, collects and comprehensively processes all the architectural, engineering, technological, economic information necessary for each stage of the project (development, design, construction, operation / repair and disposal). Even before the start of real construction, a BIM designer (together with other project participants) can virtually build an object with all infrastructure from start to finish and make an accurate cost analysis of the entire life cycle of a building / object.
The novelty of the profession: knows how to create a 3D model of an object under construction and combine other sections of information (design, technical, economic) about a construction object into a single database.
Key competencies:
- Higher education in any of the areas: "construction", "architecture", "design", "engineering", "computer-aided design", etc.
- Knowledge and ability to work in specialized software (for example, Revit, Navisworks).
