А multidisciplinary university that implements training in 10 areas of undergraduate studies (32 educational programs), 4 areas of training for a master's degree (9 educational programs) and 3 areas of doctoral studies (6 educational programs); - a large specialized university in the field of architecture and construction in Kazakhstan, heading the UMO on its basis and coordinating the work of faculties and departments in 41 universities in Kazakhstan; - the first university in the world to be accredited by the UNESCO-UIA commission; - the first university in Kazakhstan to introduce a credit education system; - has a highly qualified teaching staff, most of whom are professors, recognized researchers and specialists, founders of research schools and authors of many publications and monographs; - has a Dissertation Council for the defense of PhD theses. In 2020, the anniversary of the opening of AASI-KazGASA - 40 years. The university includes 8 faculties, which are staffed by teachers who have academic degrees of Doctor of Science, Candidate of Science, Doctorate of PhD and practical work experience that meet the qualification requirements. There is a system of reserves for filling vacancies with high requirements for applicants. The main direction of research activities is participation in solving the main problems of fundamental science, as well as priority areas of industrial and innovative policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The studies are in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are focused on the development and creation of potentially competitive, including export-oriented industries operating in non-resource sectors of the economy. The university is continuously working to expand international relations, agreements on cooperation in the field of education and science have been concluded with foreign universities from Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Israel, Japan, USA, Kingdom of the Netherlands, UAE, South Korea, China, Hungary, Czech Republic , Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey and the CIS countries. The IOC has cooperation agreements with 100 leading foreign universities.
