The history of the Karaganda State Industrial University begins from the moment when the university was still a factory. More than fifty years of history is connected with the history of the city and the country as a whole. After the Great Victory, in the fall of 1950, the first brick of Kazakhstan's Magnitka was laid; in December 1957, the grand opening of the blast furnace took place. The structure of the finished university was made up of four faculties: metallurgy, civil engineering, evening and preparatory. About 250 specialist teachers were involved in scientific work. People worked at the same time both at the factory and at the university. Also, all interested students could earn extra money by pawning their efforts. The main feature of our educational institution is complete proximity to practical work. Discounts are provided to applicants who graduated from school on 4 and 5, as well as students who study excellently at our university.
