Atlas of new professions and competencies of Kazakhstan is a unique project. The year 2020, in which it was born, has become one of the most difficult years in our lives - the global economy of the planet was challenged. Nevertheless, the Atlas is a truly global project.

Initially, the Russian Atlas of New Professions, which tells about the promising professions of tomorrow, appeared in 2014 as a result of a large-scale research "Forsyth of competencies-2030", organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Skolkovo Moscow State University. Since then, several editions of the Atlas have been published (the last one in 2020) and materials from it are actively used throughout Russia.

In 2019-20, a trilateral memorandum on mutual cooperation between the Atlas of New Professions, the Eurasian Group ERG and BTS Education was signed, and a road map for the development of the project in Kazakhstan was created. In the spring of 2020, a unique online foresight school was held in a pandemic situation, where specialists from Kazakhstan mastered the Skills Technology Foresight methodology developed at Skolkovo International School of Education and verified by the International Labor Organization. Graduates of the school joined the team "Atlas of new professions and competencies of Kazakhstan" and showed high professionalism in conducting foresight, analytical work and content preparation.

I am sure that the Atlas will help to build a harmonious system of training the specialists in demand and will contribute to the development of the economy of Kazakhstan.
