Today, Bogatyr Komir LLP accounts for 70 percent of all coal mined in the Ekibastuz coal basin and 40 percent of the total coal production in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Bogatyr Komir LLP is one of the largest open pit coal mining enterprises in the world, its balance reserves amount to 2.62 billion tons. The production capacity of the enterprise is 42 million tons of coal per year, including 32 million tons along the Bogatyr open pit, and 10 million tons along the Severny open pit. The total number of the labor collective of Bogatyr Komir LLP is currently 6.5 thousand people.
